Hello, my name is Richie Thetford and I am the evangelist working with the Poudre Valley church of Christ in Fort Collins, Colorado. On behalf of the members, I would like to invite you to come and attend the services of the Poudre Valley church of Christ. We are small in number at this time but we are striving to grow spiritually so that we can ensure that we live our lives in a way that is pleasing to almighty God. If you are new to the area or traveling to the Fort Collins or Loveland area, we would love to have you come and worship God with us. You can rest assured that when you enter through the door of our meeting facility that a very warm and friendly welcome will be extended to you!
The Poudre Valley church of Christ began meeting in Loveland, Colorado on February 19, 2012 and then moved to our current meeting facility in Fort Collins, Colorado on February 25, 2018. We began a truly conservative, non-institutional, non-instrumental, non-denominational congregation in Northern Colorado because we feel that it is very important to abide in the Bible, the doctrine of Christ, for all that we do in order to be pleasing to God. Fort Collins has a population of over 165,000 and has increased in population by 45,000 since 2000. It is located 46 miles South of Cheyenne, WY and 65 miles North of Denver, CO. It is within close proximity of Loveland, Windsor and Greeley, Colorado. The population of all these cities, including Fort Collins, is approximately 400,000 people all located within a 30 to 40 mile radius. The fields are white unto harvest in this area. We are praying that many Bible studies will be initiated through our door to door and other personal evangelism efforts.
The Fort Collins, Colorado area is a beautiful area with great climate conditions. It has an elevation of 4,982 feet with mild winters and warm summers. The city has some beautiful views of the Rocky Mountains to the West. Red Feather Lakes and Estes Park, Colorado, a very popular camping and hiking places and are within a 55 minute drive to our meeting facility. If you love the outdoors, you will love it here in Fort Collins and Loveland Colorado! There is an abundance of hunting, fishing, hiking, rafting, skiing, sledding, and numerous other things to do in this area.
It is our goal to grow a righteous, loving, well-grounded congregation of Christians who ultimately are devoted in their life and service to God and toward one another. If you are looking for a church where the Bible is the absolute authority for all we do religiously and where individuals who make up the body of Christ are sincere and dedicated in their walk with God, then you need to come and be part of a congregation of God's people who are striving to help one another reach heaven. You will quickly see that the Bible is an "open book" in our Bible classes and in our worship service. You will see that we allow God to speak to us through His Holy and divine Word, as many passages of scripture are used every time we come together. If you want to really learn more about God, through His teaching, then this is the place for you.
If you have a desire to do the Lord's work -- then this is the place for you! In the Spring, Summer, and early Fall, I strive to knock on 100 - 300 doors per month in an attempt to share God's wonderful plan of salvation with anyone who will want to study. Literature is also given from house to house that tells about various aspects of God's teaching and also informs others of the congregation of God's people here in Fort Collins, Colorado. I am confident that Bible studies will become more abundant, individuals will respond to God's teaching on salvation, and souls will be added to the church. Fort Collins, Colorado is a beautiful area with many souls who need to learn the truth of the gospel of Christ. Won't you come and join us at the Poudre Valley church of Christ where "you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32)? Please, come grow with us!
